Talking to Other Team Owners

DataForce offers two secure options for communicating with other teams in your league:

1. On-line messaging
2. The chat room

Both allow communicating without sharing your email address, though messaging gives you the option of sharing your address. See below.

Be aware that the chat room can be seen by all other members in the league, and by the commissioner. You cannot target a specific person in the chat room. However, you can direct an on-line message to one or more members, send a copy to the commissioner if you like, and even copy yourself if you want.

Messaging is perhaps the best way to communicate:

• New messages show up on their My Teams page and on their Dashboard.
• Messages remain on their My Messages page until dismissed, and that page provides a handy way to reply to messages.
• Messages send an email to each recipient that has enabled this feature on their Owner Setup page.

So this may be the best way to ensure that your communication is reached by all. However, it doesn't open any communication paths outside the software, unless you tell it to do so.

Enabling Reply-To in Your Messages

On your Owner Setup page you may enable "reply to" in all your messages. What this means is that owners receiving email from your messages may just click the Reply button on your email manager to reply to you directly, bypassing the software. If you don't enable this, they'll find that replying to your messages doesn't go to you, it goes to DataForce, since DataForce sent the message to them through the software.

Of course, if you enable this feature, others will be able to learn your email address. If that doesn't matter to you, by all means make life easier for your leaguemates by enabling Reply To.
