Prize Sharing at DataForce

Often, teams in the playoffs wish to share prizes in order to mitigate the risk of losing. For example, the two teams in the Super Bowl may wish to just split the prize, or two friends who make the playoffs may want to decide early that they will share the winnings.

You decide what percentage goes to the team that advances furthest in the playoffs, and what percentage goes to the other team. For example, you might agree that the team that goes furthest receives 60% and the other team receives 40%, or anything you like.

Both sides must agree to the terms. One side submits a prize-share offer, and the other accepts, both on this page.

There are a few limitations when using this automated option. If you agree to something complex, such as the following examples, you will need to email the commissioner at [email protected] to form a prize-sharing agreement.

These are examples of prize-sharing agreements that will need to be done manually:

1. When three or more teams enter an agreement.
2. When an agreement is reached after the Thursday night game begins.
3. Contender leagues, because they span multiple leagues.
4. Sometimes a winner chooses, for tax reasons, to accept a lower prize than what they were awarded.
